Andrew Newland is the founder of ANGLE and Group Chief Executive. He has an MA in Engineering Science from the University of Cambridge, and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. After working with the engineering conglomerate, TI plc, he worked for KPMG from 1982 to1994; from 1985 to 1987 he was based in the US as a manager providing corporate finance and business advice to high technology firms in the area around Route 128, Boston, Massachusetts. From 1987 to 1994 he worked in the UK in KPMG's UK and European High Technology Consulting Group. Mr Newland founded ANGLE in 1994.
- Ian Griffiths

Ian Griffiths has a BSc in Mathematics with Management Applications from Brunel University and is qualified as a chartered accountant. For seven years he worked for KPMG, initially in accountancy (1986 to 1990), then in management consulting (1990 to 1993) within KPMG's High Technology Consulting Group where he specialised in financial modelling, business planning, corporate finance, market development and strategy work. As well as leading the finance function at ANGLE, he has been closely involved with the development and delivery of the UK, US and Middle East Consulting and Management businesses and in developing new Ventures and supporting Progeny companies. After a career break he joined ANGLE in 1995.

Roberts, PhD
Eulian Roberts has a BSc in Microbiology, a PhD in Molecular Biology and an MBA. He gained three years' post-doctoral experience and then joined the Scottish Development Agency (which later became Scottish Enterprise) where he was initially involved in the identification, development and delivery of a range of strategic economic development and environmental initiatives. Dr Roberts latterly had responsibility for technology development in the Lothians. He then became the chief executive of the Stirling University Innovation Park, went on to become the managing director of Coventry University Enterprises Limited and was a director of the UK Science Park Association. Dr Roberts joined ANGLE in 1998. Eulian leads the ANGLE Doha-based team managing the Qatar Foundation’s Science and Technology Park, an emerging international hub of research and commercialization in the Middle East.

Shane Booth, PhD

Shane Booth has a degree in Biology and a D.Phil in Biochemistry, both from the University of York. Prior to joining ANGLE Technology, Shane was New Business Manager for the life sciences division of Anderman & Company, and held positions with scientific instrument company, Schleicher and Schuell. He has also held positions at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Centre, and the University of York's Cancer Research Unit. His research expertise includes, antisense systems, transgenics, retroviruses, oncogenes, and rapid toxicological test systems. Shane specialises in biotechnology consulting and the operational management of technology business incubators.
- Ben Figgis
- Senior Consultant
Ben Figgis has an MEng in Mechanical Engineering, a BSc in Mathematics and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance. He started his career in the automotive industry, working on supply-chain management for General Motors in Australia before moving to a Bangkok-based consultancy where he helped Western companies develop strategies for entering Asian markets. This was followed by three years with strategic-sourcing consultancy FreeMarkets, conducting due diligence and negotiating supply partnerships for clients across a wide variety of industries. Ben joined ANGLE Technology at the start of 2004 and is working as part of a Doha-based team to establish and manage the Qatar Science & Technology Park, where he is able to employ his seven years of commercial, technical and project-management experience.
- Bob Scott

Bob Scott is a Chartered Engineer and has a BSc in Mining Engineering, an MSc in Geostatistics and he has a post graduate teaching qualification. He joined ANGLE Technology in August 2001 to become Centre Manager, mansfield i-centre. Bob has been responsible for establishing and running this new business incubator and innovation centre, which provides support and facilities to high-growth, technology and knowledge-based businesses. In addition to his work at Mansfield, Bob has project-managed a number of incubation studies including demand analyses, incubation strategy formulation and facilities design. Bob also recently helped to deliver a national workshop programme for incubator practitioners on behalf of UK Business Incubation. Prior to joining ANGLE Technology, Bob was Chief Executive of The Engineering Forum, an East Midlands-based engineering business support organisation, where he was responsible for operations, growth and strategic development. Bob is experienced in coaching and mentoring small and start-up technology-based businesses with particular emphasis on business planning, product development, marketing and people development. He has initiated a number of public/private sector partnerships and is skilled in accessing innovative routes to funding.
