IDR Therapeutics LLC

Founded by ANGLE Technology in June 2001, IDR Therapeutics has been formed to redesign and modify "highly invested" drug candidates with high sales potential, which have been withdrawn from the market or late stage clinical development market due to idiosyncratic events or toxic adverse reactions. The redesigned drugs retain the therapeutic elements but do not have the negative side effects of the original version.

As part of its strategy to develop close ties with the pharmaceutical industry, IDR Therapeutics also assists major pharmaceutical companies on a collaborative basis to resolve late stage toxicity problems associated with their drug candidates.

IDR Therapeutics' core technology is derived from its joint venture with Professor Timothy Macdonald of the University of Virginia who has developed the process and technical know-how, proving it in the academic environment.
