Founded by ANGLE Technology in December 1999, Provexis Ltd is an evidence-based business that develops innovative, health-promoting, products derived from the food chain for application within the functional food and medical food markets.

Its most advanced product is CardioFlow®, a novel extract from tomato which has been shown to have a beneficial effect in reducing the tendency for excessive blood clotting, which can lead to heart attacks, stroke and deep vein thrombosis. In the first instance, CardioFlow® is going to underpin a new range of functional beverages for the heart-healthy market.

Other products in development include a medical food treatment for cardiovascular disease and a medical food product for the treatment and management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

Provexis is a joint venture with the Rowett Institute, Europe's leading nutrition research institute and the home of three nobel prize winners.
